Our baseline on November 8, 2026 puts median asks for Birkin 25, Birkin 30 and Birkin 35 at $30,500.00, $23,445.50 and $17,237.00 respectively. Across comparable Birkin listings, 5.85% showed a material cut of at least 3.00% in the past fortnight. On November 30, 2026, we will publish the comparison with this starting point to see how resale asks changed over the shopping weekend.

Today's asking-price baseline

Use this table to orient a search by model and size. The median divides the priced sample in half; the lower and upper quartiles describe the spread around it. Start with the row closest to your intended purchase, then narrow your comparison to bags with similar leather, condition and hardware. The model name alone is too broad a comparison for a buying decision.

All Birkin includes the individual Birkin size rows and other Birkin sizes, so these rows overlap. Merchant counts describe the distinct indexed sources represented in each cohort. A source can appear in several rows. These figures help show the breadth of the sample, while the priced-listing count shows how much inventory contributes to each median.

A bag below the median deserves a closer look at its condition report and specifications. It may have wear, repairs, a different leather or fewer included accessories. A higher ask may reflect a less common specification or a seller's pricing choice. Use the distribution as context for questions about the exact bag you want.

Material cuts before Black Friday

The principal reduction measure uses a threshold of 3.00%. The tables separate cuts measured in the seller's original currency from those measurable only in normalized USD. Each qualifying listing contributes once to the material-cut count within a window. The share divides that count by listings with comparable history in the same cohort and window.

Read across a row before comparing percentages. The comparable-listing count is the evidence base for that rate; the priced-listing count above is the broader current population. The median material cut describes the typical largest qualifying reduction among listings counted as having a material cut. It helps distinguish the frequency of cuts from their depth.

The native-currency and USD-only columns add to the material-cut count. Keeping them visible lets readers assess how much of the signal relies on currency conversions. For a buyer following a specific bag, the useful next step is to open its listing, compare the current ask with the recorded observations and check the terms that would apply to the purchase.

What we will publish after the weekend

Black Friday falls on November 27, 2026; our planned follow-up date is November 30, 2026. We will compare the new snapshot with this baseline by cohort, reporting changes in the median, lower and upper quartiles, priced-listing counts and merchant coverage. We will also show the material-cut rates for the recent windows ending at that later snapshot.

The comparison will keep the starting date visible so a reader can distinguish the baseline from the follow-up. When a cohort's inventory or history coverage changes, that change will accompany the price figures. A table that shows both the price distribution and the contributing sample is more useful for assessing a seasonal question than a headline percentage alone.

A compact gift-buying checklist

Before choosing a listing, assemble the information that affects the actual gift and the purchase terms. Ask for written answers wherever the seller's page leaves an ambiguity, especially when delivery timing is part of the decision.

  • Final cost: check item price, payment currency, tax, shipping, insurance and any customs duties for the destination.
  • Delivery: confirm dispatch timing, delivery estimate, tracking and signature requirements with the seller.
  • Returns: read the return window, exclusions, restocking charges and responsibility for return shipping.
  • Condition: inspect photographs of handles, corners, interior and hardware; request disclosure of repairs and alterations.
  • Contents and recourse: confirm included accessories and documents, the written authenticity guarantee, warranty and dispute remedy.

Save the listing description, condition images and final terms with your purchase records. Compare the same specification across sellers before deciding whether a visible reduction matters to you. A purchase that fits the recipient and the delivery requirements depends on more than the position of an ask within a market table.

Follow your preferred model and size

Search current listings and set a price alert for the specification and budget you have in mind. Review the live seller page when an alert arrives, and revisit the total cost and written terms before proceeding. Keeping a focused shortlist makes the baseline more useful than following every movement across unrelated bags.

Frequently asked questions

Do Birkin resale prices drop on Black Friday?

We do not know yet for this season. This tracker records resale asking prices before the shopping weekend and publishes a comparison after Cyber Monday. It measures asks advertised by independent sellers, not completed sales, and it is not an Hermès promotion.

What does the material-cut table show?

It counts listings with a qualifying recorded reduction during the stated window. Read the native-currency and USD-only columns separately, and use the comparable-listing count to understand the denominator.

How can I follow a particular specification?

Search current listings and set a price alert for your preferred model, size and budget. Use each notification to review the live listing and the seller’s written terms.

What will the follow-up compare?

The follow-up will compare the dated baseline with a later snapshot, showing price distributions, listing counts, merchant coverage and the share with material cuts for each tracked cohort.
